Possession

Possession must be a relationship between two nouns: our names for these nouns are possessor and possessum. In "Tom's sister," "Tom" is the possessor, and "sister" is the possessum. In "the music of Beethoven," "Beethoven" is the possessor, and "music" is the possessum.
